Introduction of Speaker: Dr. Ricihard Deulofeut, M.D., MPH

Dr. Deulofeut, an Attending Neonatologist from Pediatrix-Obstetrix Medical Group in Dallas. Born in Barranquilla, Columbia; graduated from Universidad del Norte. Columbia and acquired the Master degree in Public Health from Harvard Medical School; Pediatric residency in Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami, Miami, Florida; Neonatology Fellowship in Emory University. He has published numerous papers related to neonates and is a well respected researcher in the Latino fields of neonates. His studies included impact of vaginal delivery of VLBW neonates, pulse oximetry, and oxygen as a health hazard of neonates, etc. He resides in Dallas with two sons and his wife. Sharon Groves, the Vice-President announced her resignation for moving out of state of Texas, we will open the position for members to apply and will be voted on next meeting , we are going to miss her.

Sheri Clark was chosen by board to attend the 23rd NANN conference in San Diego with the complimentary admission. We wish her have a great trip in September 2007 to San Diego.

Commmunity services Liaison, Sheri Clark announced to donnate school supplies for the New Beginning Center in Garland, she welcome members to bring in school supplies or to donnate money.

Suzanne Staebler, NNP who had returned from the visit to China and gave a presentation of “Comparison the NICU practice in China.” What a great speaker! She really opened our eyes to see the world.
