Introduction of Speaker:
Dr. Wendy Chung is the Chief Epidemiologist for the Dallas County Department of Health and Human services. She manages the DCHHS epidemiology staff as they collect, track and analyze data for infecous and reportable diseases in Dallas County. She is responsible for directing disease outbreaking investigations and control activities.
Dr. Chung’s experience as a private practioner with Pediatrics Infectious Disease Associates in Dallas, Texas gave her extensive knowledge of the diagnosis and management of neonatal and pediatric infection. In addtion, Dr. Chung has academic training in infectious disease and public health. She received her BS from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, MSPH from the Harvard School of Public Health and MD from the University of Texas Health Scieince Center at San Antonio. She completed her internship in Radiology, residency in Pediatrics and fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Disease at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Board certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Disease. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America and the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America.

Congratulations to Ms. Kristina James, R.N. for being elected as Vice-President of NTANN.
The speech of the Impact of the Delivery Mode to the Premature Infant by Dr. Deulofeut was short but interesting with the findings.
Good luck to Sherryl Clark, the Community Liaison and Kristina James, the newly elected Vice-President for their trips to San Diego, California, for the 23rd NANN conference in September.
Members approved the donation of goody-baskets to Beginning Center for battered women and children.
