Dr. Van S. Miller will talk about Neonatal Neurology Updates.
Introduction of guest speaker:
Dr. Van Strickland Miller, MD, PhD, is a Board Certified pediatrician and child neurologist. He obtained his PhD in neuroscience from University of Texas at Austin and then later acquired his MD from Texas Branch in Galveston, Texas. His research intereasts include:
neonatal neurology, developmental neurology, ontogeny of learning in humans and animals, neuro epidemiology, developmental defects of the brain, autism etc. He has published numerous papers and a book. He has been invited to present his papers and to speak all over the important cities in the U.S.A. and outside of the country too.
Dr. Miller is a private practitioner with Texas child Neurology and he has affiliated with several major hospitals in Dallas. He has taught in universities and medical schools concurrently with his medical practice in the past decade.

Dr. Wendy Chung’s talk about Congenital Syphillis is a refresher and brought our attention to this old sexually transmitted disease.
23rd NANN Conference reports by Kristina James and Sheri Clark were wonderful, Thanks.
What a thrill, all the fleece tied blanket projects for Women’s shelter are being taken home by the memebers to make while the weather is cold here in North Texas! Thanks for their dedication to our community service.
