What an inspiring lecture about the Human Factor and the Bedside Care. Dr. Ratner use "The Simple Checklist Study" by Dr. Pronovost, The Time/100 the most Influential People in the World, to explain how the human factor can do with patients' outcome. Yes, the technology improve the ways we treat our patients, but most important thing is the human factor. The great F-17 fighting jet equipped with the most sophisticated and powerful techology to win the defense bit but without the checklist to aid the pilots to operate the jet, it came and blew-up into ashes after taking-off at the first selection contest.

Wow, I wish more people could hear this wonderful lecture and I am recommending this to NANN for futue inservice topic and/or for the national conference. Please download the power-point for your own leisure reading. :)

****Event is not limited to current members, non-members who are NICU nurses may attend. However, please limit attendance to NICU nurses only, because there is a limit of 65. Must RSVP to above email address for drink bands, game cards, etc. Thank you!*****
